Affordable Housing - Cortland, New York
The design is a cluster concept of houses that preserves most of the land in its natural state. The houses in each planned cluster contain four to six individual living units under gable roofs, giving the appearance of large, single-family houses, each one with its individual character The houses were to have been built using off-site prefab methods and adhering to energy-saving standards. A loop road was planned for the development, with smaller cul-de-sacs serving the groups of houses.
