Sheehy House - East Hampton, New York
At on end of the house are the children's bedrooms and play spaces; at the other end are the master bedroom, and the other family areas. The north faces the drive, from which one may enter directly either the family or the children's wing. The two spaces are connected at the second story by an enclosed bridge. The focus of the house is the two-story living room, with its windows that open it up on three sides to woodland views. The entrance, dining areas, and even the master bedroom open on to this room, each borrowing from the other's space to extend the apparent size of the house.
